Sean Ré provides counseling and psychotherapy services to adults and adolescents. Sean integrates a variety of modalities to provide a therapeutic experience tailored to clients’ specific needs, honoring their unique intellectual, cultural, spiritual, physical, and human qualities to provide a feeling of safety and respect.
Sean focuses on the client’s strengths and seeks to restore a sense of aliveness to help the them live their lives to the fullest. He meets clients where they are in this moment: in their stage of life and circumstances, and how they are experiencing them. He acknowledges their unique resources and capacities to solve their own challenges. It’s in this place of acceptance that he supports clients in moving toward their goals. As a friend of his once said, “If you are laying down, sit up. If you are sitting, stand. If you are standing, walk. If you are walking, run until you reach your goal.”
Sean also uses therapies informed by the latest information from research in psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, as well as “evidence based practices,” especially pertaining to the field of trauma.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about
language, ideas, even the phrase each other doesn’t make any sense.” ~Jalaluddin Rumi
